This Privacy Policy explains how Fisherina (the “App”) handles your information. Fisherina is designed to work offline and to keep your data on your device. We do not run our own servers that store your personal information, we do not require an account, and we do not sell your data.
The App stores the information you create locally on your device, including: your catch log, photos you add, personal notes, goals, tackle box, planned trips, and any fishing spots you save.
If you keep iCloud Backup enabled (you can turn it off in the App’s Settings), this data is synced through your own private iCloud account so it survives reinstalling the App and follows you to a new iPhone. This uses Apple’s iCloud and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We have no access to your iCloud data.
If you grant location access, the App uses your location on-device to:
Your location is not transmitted to us. The App only asks for location when you first use a feature that needs it (for example, the Solunar tool) — not on launch. To turn place names into readable labels (reverse geocoding), the App may use Apple’s location services. You can change or revoke location access any time in iOS Settings, or from the App’s Settings → Privacy.
The camera and your photos are used only to identify fish and to create content cards. Image analysis, including fish detection, species classification, and optional face blurring, is performed entirely on your device. When you choose to save a card, the App writes it to your photo library with your permission. Photos are never uploaded to us.
To understand how the App is used and to improve it, we use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. TelemetryDeck is designed to be anonymous:
This data cannot reasonably be used to identify you. No personal data, photos, catches, or precise location are sent to TelemetryDeck.
If the App offers a subscription or in-app purchase, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment card details. Purchase and subscription management is handled by Apple and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
To validate purchases and keep track of your subscription status across your devices, we use RevenueCat, a subscription management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-generated identifier and your purchase/transaction history (such as which product you bought and whether the subscription is active), along with limited technical data like country and app version. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment card details, and we do not use it to track you across other apps.

Fisherina is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we do not maintain personal data about you on our own servers, there is generally no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete. You remain in control of your own data at all times:

Your data lives on your device and in your private iCloud, protected by your device passcode/Face ID and your Apple ID security. Analytics signals are transmitted over encrypted connections.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
